Tove Storch har skabt et kunstprojekt til Gredstedbro Kirke, hvor hun tager udgangspunkt i kirkens to møbler, alterbordet og knæfaldet.

Værket leger visuelt med tyngdekraften: både alterbord, knæfald og den gennemgående linje er udført i messing, formet som bløde, draperede tråde, der hviler tungt over stativer.

En centreret linje strækker sig fra toppen af altervæggen ned gennem møblerne, videre ud af døren og ned ad trinnet udenfor kirken – og i den modsatte retning leder den blikket og kroppen ind og op i kirkerummet.

Filmen følger Tove Storchs arbejdsproces og giver indsigt i de tanker og idéer, der ligger bag dette unikke kunstværk.

Tove Storch has created an art project for Gredstedbro Kirke, based on the church’s two furniture pieces: the altar table and the kneeling bench.

The work plays visually with gravity: the altar, the kneeling bench, and the flowing line through the church are all made of brass, shaped like soft, draped threads that rest heavily on their supports.

A central line stretches from the top of the altar wall down through the furniture, out of the door, and down the steps outside the church – while in the opposite direction it guides the body and gaze back into the church.

The film follows Tove Storch’s creative process, offering insight into the ideas and intentions behind this unique artwork.
