Filmen vil skabe et omfattende portræt af en af Danmarks mest indflydelsesrige kunstnere, vi følger ham i hans færd med at etablere sig selv på en gammel gård i Güldenhof, Tyskland, et projekt han anslår kan tage 10-20 år. Dokumentaren udforsker også Vo's opvækst som flygtning fra Vietnam og hans kunstneriske bestræbelser og udfolder en tankevækkende udforskning af hjem, fællesskab og samfund.
