In 1902 the tobacco manufacturer Heinrich Hirschsprung and his wife Pauline dedicated their impressive collection of Danish art to the Danish state. JJ Film has produced a portrait of Hirschsprung based on a written correspondence between him and contemporary artists. Especially the correspondence between Hirschsprung and P.S. Krøyer tells us how deeply the tobacco manufacturer was interested in art.
