'They could, they can' is a series of 10 programmes dealing with examples of fine and unique Danish craft that in time have created great successful stories within Danish industry and mass production. The different industries are anchored in the tradition and respect for the original product contemporary with a forward pointed focus on the escalating modern society.
For instance we see how the old Danish furniture craft today has reached the Museum of Modern Art in New York, how the talented people who once built coaches and steam trains became the founders of the lightning quick IC3 trains, and how the traditional shoe maker has developed footwear factories with considerable export trade worldwide.
