The painter, the graphic designer and the sculptor Peter Brandes has a prominent position within the breakthrough of the abstract expressionism and he is a central character within Danish visual arts. Brandes has challenged several genres within the world of arts. Among other things the photograph has occupied a large part of his mind. Using the photograph he experiments with relics from the classic past's arts during his travelling. He awakens the past by letting classic sculptures appear in a new light of diffuse contours. We portray a man who reflects on the meaning of arts, its aesthetics and its relation to reality - with the photograph as the starting point.
