Egil & Robert Jacobsen in Conversation

Two of the most recognised artists in Denmark, Robert and Egil Jacobsen, get together in Robert's studio in Egtved. Here they talk about and discuss the innovative works they both created in the artistic environment in Denmark during the 30's and 40's. As professors at the Danish Academy of Arts they were able to leave their mark on the artistc development for more than half a century. They look back at their upbringing, sources of inspiration, grand tours to France and at the conditions for artists during World War II. Clips of the artists who have inspired the two Jacobsens are incorporated in the film creating a connecting thread that provides us with a perfect overview of several epochs of the history of arts.
